The Washington Metropolitan Cranial Study Group
presents valuable opportunity for healing practitioners at all levels
of experience to deepen and broaden their expertise in the skills
of CranialSacral Therapy and Body Mind Healing.
The class, taught by Asclepeion co-founders Ron
Murray, PT, ND, Doctor of Integrative Medicine, and Martha
Bramhall, LISW, draws on the techniques of both traditional psychotherapy
and alternative healing modalities.
Attendees work in small groups under supervision of Asclepeion faculty
or an advanced student. Brief lectures introduce topics such the structure
and function of specific bones and organs, palpation techniques, and
other assessment and healing tools.
Participants are introduced to the Dynamic Colloid Fluid Model of
the human body—presented as an aid to a deeper understanding
of the operational mechanisms of alternative healing techniques such
as CranialSacral
Therapy, Visceral
Manipulation,
Myofascial Release, and Body
Mind Healing.
The ongoing group is open to anyone who has taken CST-I (the first
level of CranialSacral Therapy) through an established training program,
such as the Asclepeion Center or the Upledger Institute.
Note: If you have any questions about these prerequisites
or your previous training, please contact Ron Murray at the Asclepeion
Center on 301-495-0933, or email him at rsmasclepeion@comcast.net.
Meetings of the CranialSacral Study Group are normally held on the
second Wednesday night of each month at 8:00 pm. However, no meetings currently are being held, as the staff is on sebatical.
For more information, contact the Asclepeion Center on 301-495-0933.
