What does organic mean?

Beauty product companies have different commercial definitions of words like natural and organic. For example, Miessence’s definition of natural is existed in or formed by nature. Most of the beauty Industry companies’ definition of natural is any ingredient “derived from” a natural substance. So for example for most beauty Industry companies, petroleum products are a natural substance. Another interesting example is that for most beauty Industry companies the word organic is defined as any compound containing carbon while for Miessence organic is defined as a sustainable system of agriculture that uses natural substances and methods to create healthy, nutrient-rich, fertile soil. Miessence products are both Australian certified organic and certified organic here by the USDA as well. You probably wouldn’t want to but Miessence products are pure enough to eat!
